Product Description
A sophisticated homage to the refined smoking rituals of Edwardian England, the Highclere Castle Robusto by Foundation Cigars offers a mild to medium experience draped in an elegant Connecticut Shade wrapper. Hand-rolled in Estelí, Nicaragua, this cigar is the result of a collaboration between Foundation Cigar Company and the 8th Earl of Carnarvon, inspired by the cigars enjoyed at England’s historic Highclere Castle.
This 5×50 Robusto features a silky, golden Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper that encases a zesty Brazilian Mata Fina binder. At its core lies a blend of aged Nicaraguan long-filler tobaccos, including Criollo and Corojo from the volcanic soils of Jalapa and the island of Ometepe, complemented by an exclusive hybrid seed Foundation has named Nicadán. The result is a luxuriously smooth, creamy character that unfolds with gentle peppery nuances and delicate fruit undertones — loaded with hearty, vibrant tasting notes of pepper, leather, caramel, citrus, and wood, all highlighted with a buttery-smooth sweetness on the palate. A lovely, sweet tobacco room note is the icing on the cake.
