Curivari Socrates 550 is a Nicaraguan puro made the Cuban way, part of Curivari’s Greek philosopher line. This 5×50 Robusto features a medium-dark brown wrapper with visible oils and tooth, finished with a traditional Cuban triple cap. The profile opens with a blast of sweetness and spice on the tongue, followed by leather, earth, cinnamon, and a light creaminess. As it progresses, the spice mellows and the flavors shift to cinnamon, leather, wood, coffee, and hints of cocoa, building in strength from medium to medium-full. The final third sees the spice return alongside leather, earth, coffee, and cinnamon, ending at a solid medium-full. A flavorful, earthy smoke at an excellent value.
