El Pulpo The Eel is a 7×38 Lancero that showcases the beauty of Artesano Del Tobacco’s well-aged San Andrés Maduro wrapper in a slender format. As part of the El Pulpo line, this vitola was created in response to fan demand for a Lancero that highlights the wrapper. The blend features a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over an all-Nicaraguan binder and filler, with the wrapper and binder undergoing a special fermentation process to bring out more sweetness. Hand-rolled at AJ Fernandez’s San Lotano factory in Ocotal, Nicaragua, this Lancero delivers a complex and balanced profile with notes of charred meat, gritty earth, sourdough bread, cocoa nibs, cinnamon, and a lingering sweetness on the finish.
