Artesano Del Tobacco and AJ Fernandez teamed up to create El Pulpo, a blend that began development in 2016 and took years to perfect. Translating to “The Octopus,” this full-bodied cigar features a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over an all-Nicaraguan binder and filler, with tobaccos sourced from the prized AJ Fernandez family farm. The Octo Ocho is a unique culebra — three 7×38 cigars twisted together like a snake, secured at both ends with ribbons. The name combines “Octo” (Latin for eight) and “Ocho” (Spanish for eight), translating to “The Octopus Eight Eight.” Unlike other sizes in the line that are box-pressed, the Octo Ocho is a round cigar, offering a one-of-a-kind smoking experience with notes of anise, oak, leather, cocoa nibs, and a distinct maple syrup sweetness on the retrohale.
